E-Account for Expatriate Bangladeshis
From now on, any expatriate Bangladeshi can open an e-account in Social Islami Bank through the SIBL Now app from his mobile phone. Managing Director and Chief Executive of SIBL Zafar Alam inaugurated the ‘E-Account for Expatriate Bangladeshis’ service. He was as the Chief Guest of the opening of the app.
About the service, he said, through this service, expatriate Bangladeshis can now easily open a bank account abroad through the SIBL Now app, and by opening this account, the NRB account holder will get a dual currency debit card with which they can make purchases, withdraw money anywhere in the country and abroad. And can do online transactions. He expressed hope that this service of Social Islami Bank will increase the flow of remittances through legal channels in the country.
Additional Managing Director of the bank Abu Reza Md. Yahya, Deputy Managing Director Samshul Haque and Muhammad Forkanullah, Chief Remittance Officer Musharraf Hossain, Head of International Department Akmal Hossain, Head of Information Technology Department Sultan Badsha, Head of Departments and senior officials were also present in the inaugural program held at the head office of SIBL on 20 July, 2022.
